God Steadies Your Steps

Breathe Deep and Know: Sin causes us to stumble, but God can steady your steps.

Because of the fall, we are born with a natural lean toward sin Instead of a steady and upright gait through life, we walk with a tilt that makes us tumble and stumble and trip over our own feet, often causing us to veer off the path that God intended for us, and before we know it we can find ourselves lost in a forest of fear and shame.

Prayer helps right our wayward lean by drawing us closer to God and redirecting our souls toward the path of His love and forgiveness. When we draw close to God in prayer, He steadies our steps as we invite Christ to forgive our sin and lead us back toward His perfect ways. The fallen lean that once led us away from God is now transformed into a surrendered lean toward Him. As we lean on Christ and His promises, we can trust Him to keep us from falling.

Do you feel like you're stumbling a bit today? Turn toward God and trust His promises to steady your steps.

Make my steps steady through your promise; don't let any sin dominate me. PSALM 119:133 CSB

Inhale: Steady my steps through Your promise;

Exhale: let no sin rule over me.

Breath as Prayer
